Seminars and Workshops Offered
Employees at your organization need a fresh alternative to their past self-defense experiences which likely emphasized complicated karate-type moves, boring crime statistics, high-pressure mace sales, scary crime tales and unrealistic safety rhetoric (never walk alone, don’t talk to strangers, just be aware, just use your common-sense, etc.)
They are starving for simple truths for immediate safety such as how to:
- Break the freeze of fear and access their courage
- Look and speak with authority
- Recognize and outsmart crime set-ups
- Know when to “talk” … then “strike” legally
- React to ARMED attacker
- Explain “L”ove based decisions to Family
The Survive! Seminar consists of three key instruction areas:
Part 1 – Crisis Control starts with Self Control
Part 2 – Realistic Crime Prevention
Part 3 – Surviving Violence & Weapon Attacks
Survive! Seminars are available in 90 minute or 120 minute durations and there is no limit to the size of the audience. Q&A and private discussion with Debbie and Mike will be available for anyone after the seminar. Contact Debbie (debbie@surviveinstitute.com | (513) 791-7453) for more information and speaking fee.

Interested in bringing Debbie & Mike to your college or university?
College students need the truth: they ultimately have the RIGHT to walk alone to classes and their workplace (no one has their exact schedule); they have the right to meet, talk and trust new people. What they desperately need are realistic tools to switch-on courage to stop that one-in-a-million encounter with an untrustworthy person (including a “date” acting out criminal behavior.) Students deserve new ideas to empower the only person who they can ultimately depend on in a local, national or international crisis… themselves.

Courage Workshops
Courage Workshop for Adults
Survive! Courage Workshops provide participants with simulated attacks that include indoor and outdoor stressors such as shadows, blind spots, hills, furniture, steps, noise, etc. This “Party with a Purpose” (CODE: we’ll be sure there is yummy food) allows participants to repeatedly practice and absorb new mental strategies, new verbal responses and one highly repeated physical tactic until courageous response becomes second nature. Folks are stunned at their quick Courage-on-Command as they activate gutsy and accurate responses to various crime scenarios, especially knife and gun attacks.
Adults Workshops are available as a 4-hour or 8-hour event. Ideally, the Workshop is limited to 15 participants but can be adjusted as needed for your organization. We will work with your team to select the best location for participants to truly practice scenarios that haunt them about their safety.
